LETTERKENNY badboy chef Conrad Gallagher’s rise from the ashes continues after the announcement that he has joined TV3.

The controversial cook is to front a new cookery programme, Head Chef, which will see amateur chefs compete to become the best cook in Ireland.

Eight lucky hopefuls will be chosen to cook live with Conrad in a new series which is being tipped to get huge ratings for TV3.

The winner will win a month long paid training course in Conrad’s restaurants in Sligo or Dublin plus €5,000 euro cash.

And if the new chef impresses Conrad they could be offered a full-time job with the Hawthorn Heights man.

As each episode reaches boiling point, one hopeful will hang up their apron as the others continue their journey to win the title of Ireland’s Head Chef.

TV3 Director of Programming Ben Frow said TV3 are delighted to have Conrad on board.

“We are delighted to have one of Ireland’s most successful chefs with the station for this exciting new series. Conrad is a real talent and a big personality and I gave no doubt that both will come across in the series.”

TV3 says everyone can apply for the series including emerging chefs or stay-at-home parents.

Many will apply but there can only be one winner – so apply now for your chance to be crowned Ireland’s Head Chef. To download an application form visit: www.tv3.ie/headchef
