The Celtic squad are preparing for the harsh reality of Scottish Cup football – an away trip to face the ‘wee Rangers’ of Berwick.
Confidence is naturally high in the Hoops squad following their 2-0 victory at Ibrox, and for James Forrest, who made his derby debut on Sunday, the cup-tie can’t come soon enough.
And the 19-year-old showed maturity beyond his years in realising that the good result last weekend will be quickly forgotten if Celtic don’t get a good result this Sunday.
“We’re going to need to start the way we started against Rangers and just take it from there,” he said, speaking exclusively to the official Celtic website.
“Hopefully we can get a win because it would be disappointing to go out so soon after getting such a good victory against Rangers.
“If we go out on Sunday then everybody instantly forgets about the Rangers game and talks about that one so we have to treat this game the same way.
“I’ve seen some bad Scottish Cup games through the years, when we went out to Clyde and Inverness Caley Thistle, so hopefully this won’t be one that goes into the history books for the wrong reasons.”
Berwick v Celtic is at 15.30 this Sunday.
