DONEGAL TOWN army officer turned model Collette McBarron has rubbed salt in the wounds of her former colleagues by wearing a British army hat and Ministry of Defence t-shirt.
The blonde babe appeared on Sky Sport’s Soccer FM as the programme’s ‘soccerette’ and went down a storm.
Collette, 25, wished the British armed forces around the world best wishes as she revealed her favourite team was Chelsea.
Collette also revealed how she had recently packed in supporting Finn Harps and now supports her dad’s local team Pettigo FC.
The model, who now lives in London, declared on the show that she was “very much in love with being single.”
And she declared the Irish army had made her tough by boasting “I put the hard into Die Hard.”
However Collette forgot to tell TV bosses that she was court-martialled by the Irish army for dereliction of duty after leaving her base.
The former Miss Ireland contestant claimed she had been on duty on a night when she had actually been absent from her post to take part in the beauty pageant and later trying to cover it up.
When approached about leaving her post she initially claimed she was too embarrassed to admit why she had left her post.
During her trial she claimed “It was an opportunity to get positive press for females in the Defence Forces.”
However army top brass didn’t see it that way and found her guilty of three charges and fined a total of €950.
After all the publicity surrounding her trial, Ms McBarron later left the Irish army.
