Results
The results from the open competition staged on Saturday 19th February were asfollows, 1st Damian Toland (5) 37 points, 2nd Barry Mc Gettigan (2) 37 points, gross John Shields (3) 32 points, 3rd Martin Lynch B/S (12) 36 points. The CSS was 37 points.
On Sunday playing in stormy conditions the winner of the member’s competition was Garteh Mc Larnen (15) 33 points, 2nd Sean Barrett (15) 32 points Gross John Shields (3) 26 points, 3rd Donal Callaghan (15) 31 points. The CSS was 34 points non counting.
On Wednesday 23rd the winner of the open competition was Barry Keeney (12) 39 points, 2nd Ryan Mc Gettigan (10) 38 points, Gross Pauric Mc Hugh (7) B/S 30 points 3rd David Bonner (13) 38 points The CSS was 37 points.
Events
On Sunday 27th February there is a members competition. On Wednesday 2nd March there is a gents 18 hole open stableford event. A time sheet is in operation for all competitions at Portsalon Golf Club, contact 074 91 59459 for your tee time or go online at portsalongolfclub.com
Gaeltacht League
The Portsalon team under the direction of team captain Willie Mc Cleary recorded maximum points in the Gaeltacht League match at Portsalon Golf Club on Saturday last.
The opposition was Cloughanelly Golf Club. Playing in excellent weather conditions the best card on the day went to Aidan Cannon and Justin Greene. Portsalon’s remaining match in this season Gaeltacht League will be against Cruit Island Golf Club and will be staged at Portsalon. The Gaeltacht League Captain’s Day will take place at Cruit Island Golf Club in April.
Ottway Drive In
The Captain of Otway Golf Club Denis Friel extends an invitation to all Portsalon Golf Club members to attend his drive in competition on Sunday 27th. There is two official tee times on the day 9.am and 1 p.m.

Members and visitors should note that there is 6 inch placing on all fairways.
