DONEGAL will play Dublin in the semi-final of the All-Ireland after the Dubs beat Tyrone this evening by seven points.
The final score at Croke Park in front of 53,000 fans was Dublin 0-22, Tyrone 0-15.
Dublin’s manager Pat Gilroy said he hadn’t even thought of Donegal yet.
Speaking after the victory over Tyrone, he said: “We’ve seen it from a distance because we were keeping an eye on this game this evening.
“We’re just delighted to be in an All-Ireland semi-final. Jim McGuinness has done an incredible job with Donegal this season. I think they’ve lost just one game all season.”
Dublin were impressive – though they were cynical at times too with some dodgy tackles throughout.
Tyrone just looked tired.
RTE pundit Joe Brolly, the former Derry star, insisted: “Dublin will find it very very hard to beat Donegal.”
The downside to today’s result means we will have to listen to a load of auld rubbish from the Dublin media between now and the last weekend of August.
Bring on the Dubs…we beat them in 92…we can beat them again.
