ROSCOMMON 4-15, DONEGAL 0-6. Donegal’s young hurlers put up stubborn resistance in the opening half after leaking a goal to Roscommon in their first attack, Peter Leahy hammering home with just 16 seconds on the clock.
Roscommon led 1-8 to 0-4 at half-time and pulled away in the second half, with Robbie Fallon hitting two goals while Leahy chipped in with 1-2.
The visitors were impressive, with full-back Cieran Shaw, midfielder Joe Brennan as well as Leahy, Fallon and Cathal Kenny all starring. Martin O’Reilly was Donegal’s stand-out performer.
