Buncrana GAA Success
The young Dylan Duffy had the honour of togging out in Croke park on Sunday during the All Ireland Finals day, he was part of the Bunscoil teams that got to play on the famous turf. These big days out don’t come about by chance and Dylan is testament to this, he has been involved in various successful squads within the club in both hurling and football from an early age. He always leads by example on and off the field and is a credit to his family and the club. Dylan also took part in the u12 club skills competition on Saturday and qualified for the county finals next Sunday and he will be accompanied by PJ McCarron(jnr) 2nd and Ben Doherty (roe) 3rd well done to all, and best of luck in the finals.
The weekend before last, we had twenty Buncrana youngsters play for county hurling squads, Calvin Jones captained the county U17 football team and we recently had 3 lads play for the county under 16 football team including captain Peter McLaughlin. Paddy McGonagle had the honour of refereeing this also. Ronan Walsh has just finished his county u21 hurling season with Donegal.
Congratulations also to John Porter, Irish News Ulster GAA Large Club Volunteer Award winner, on making his way in to every national newspaper as an avid Buncrana and Donegal fan. No one could have missed John who was resplendent in the green and gold of Donegal for the match which, he attended in Croke Park.
