DONEGAL GAA fans have taken to the social networks and donegaldaily.com to take sides in the decision to take Kevin Cassidy off the Donegal senior football panel.
Most of the posts have backed the Gaoth Dobhair man after donegaldaily.com revealed the decision of the management to drop the player in a row over a book.

Angry Club Donegal member Charlie McGarvey posted on donegaldaily.com’s Facebook page, saying he would stop supporting the county.
“It’s unbelievable. thats what you get in modern Ireland for telling the truth. Kevin’s only crime was caring about Donegal too much and telling the truth,” said Mr McGarvey.
“This is one club Donegal member who will be going to the bank tomorrow to cancel his direct debit. Thank you for many wonderful years and memories Kevin. We won’t see your likes again because guts honesty and passion are no longer tolerated in Donegal. Good luck Kevin goodbye Donegal,” he added.
Said Paul Reynolds on www.donegaldaily.com said: “Another dark day for Donegal Gaa.! I’ve been to Croke park this year as well as other venues in which Donegal have played, mark my word.. I will never be at another Donegal game until Jim is no longer manager of my county.”
Finding comments in favour of the decision proved difficult.
Johnny Mac on Twitter did say: “Donegal got so far this year because of discipline in the squad. It’s right that Jim keeps that discipline.”
Brian Carlin said on donegaldaily.com: “Not again Donegal.” while Colin Brownlie commented: “Good publicity for the book.”
