ANOTHER MASSIVE storm could be on the way to Co Donegal early next week – with a huge snowfall at the centre of it.
It will be very mild today, Saturday, with temperatures reaching 13C in some places of Ireland. However it will be very windy with gales and heavy rain showers.
Met Eireann forecaster Evelyn Cusack said on RTE earlier however that cold polar air will move the warm front away tonight and settle over the country tomorrow, New Year’s Day.
Very strong gales will then lash Co Donegal on Monday with a potential for snow on Monday evening through until Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. Weather warnings will be issued.
But any snow won’t last – with the warm tropical air returning to the county by Thursday.
“It won’t be anything like last winter,” she said.
