ASH WEDNESDAY ~ MASS TIMES 8 am, 10 am, 1 pm, 5.45 pm and 7.30 pm
TROCAIRE BOXES are available at the back of the Cathedral. CONFIRMATION Next Saturday, 25th February we will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Cathedral at 11 am for the girls of Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal and at 3 pm for the boys of Scoil Cholmcille. Please remember in your prayers all the girls and boys, their parents, families, teachers and all who were involved in preparing them for this day. CONFESSIONS will take place on Tuesday 21st February at 8 pm for all Confirmation Children, their families and friends.
PRAYER FOR CONFIRMATION Creator Spirit, strengthen all children to be confirmed in the coming weeks with your gifts of grace, to love and serve as a disciple of Christ. Grant that they may grow into the fullness of the stature of Christ. Fill them with the joy of your presence. Increase in them the fruit of your Spirit: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of love, patience and gentleness, the spirit of wonder and true holiness.
ST. PIUS X ADORATION CHAPEL ST PIUS X ADORATION CHAPEL is situated to the left of the Cathedral, in the grounds of Loreto Convent, just beyond the Grotto of Our Lady. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed there day and night for silent Adoration from 7 pm on Sundays until 8.30 pm on Fridays. All are welcome to Adore during those times. Committed Adorers are needed especially for the night hours. If you would like to commit to Adoration on a particular hour, you may leave your name and contact number in the box inside the door of the Adoration Chapel or text 086-3074435. The Raphoe Diocesan Pioneer Council are keeping with the aim of the Association, ‘the promotion of Sobriety and Temperance’ organising the ‘NO THANKS FOR LENT CAMPAIGN’. This is were a person makes a pledge to abstain from alcohol during Lent and say a special prayer, which will be available in Churches during Lent.
