THE anti-austerity walkers from Co Donegal have completed their journey to Dublin today – in time for an appearance tonight on the Late Late Show.
Spokesman Joe Murphy, who organised the 280 mile walk said tonight’s appearance had “given all of us a massive boost.”
Hundreds of people will board buses from throughout Co Donegal tomorrow morning to join the 14 walkers on the last leg of their walk from Phoenix Park to the National Convention Centre where the Fine Gael Ard Fheis will be held.
“We are delighted to be on with Ryan Tubridy tonight,” said Joe today.
“It has given us all a massive boost because there are a lot of sore legs here after the walk.
“We will complete our journey in the morning and the fact that more than half of our country hasn’t paid the Household tax shows how out of touch this Government is with ordinary people,” he added.
He said he hoped to be able to get across their message to TV viewers tonight.
