Big clean up Dungloe tidy towns are having a community clean up Wednesday the 4th of April at 6pm. assembling at the Ionad Teampaill Chróine. Gloves bags and pickers will be supplied. Dungloe tidy towns would like to invite all businesses, premises and the residents in the environs of Dungloe to take part in this clean up. Please take an hour out to assist your community in this endeavour and to have it nice and tidy for the Easter weekend. Thank you.

Easter sports camps: this 3 day camp starts on Monday the 2nd of April to Wednesday the 4th of April at Rosses community school. Boys & girls 5-13yrs. Fee is €30 per child & €10 for any additional child in a family. Contact john 086 6036406 for bookings.
Women’s weekend 2012: Friday the 6th of April Official opening in Ionad Teampaill Chróine with Neil McCafferty. All welcome. Saturday 7th 11a,-5pm workshops in the Ionad at 8pm in Rosses Community Gym – The Grand Ole Opry – A must for Country music lovers. Monday the 9th April Women’s 5k/ Mini Marathon @2pm, Registration in Ionad Teampaill Chróine from 1pm, All monies going to Local Charities.
Dungloe GAA: are holding a Table Quiz in Neary’s Corner Bar & Lounge on Thursday 5th April @ 9.30pm in aid of underage teams. Your support would be greatly appreciated. All Welcome.
St. Patrick’s Day in Meenacross: thanks to the two Maghery bands, the Meenacross band and to everyone who helped make it such a great St. Patrick’s morning in Meenacross. Thanks to everyone who helped out in the social centre after mass.
Good Friday table quiz: is taking place in Burtonport Community centre Friday the 6th of April at 8:30pm. Teams of four €20. All proceeds to Dungloe District Hospital. Refreshments served.
Under 8 Gaelic Football & Hurling will be commencing in the GAA field at Supervalu on Sat 14th Apr at 11:00am. This year all children will have the opportunity to play hurling & football. The parents association Scoil Chróine Dungloe would like to thank everyone for their baking and all who supported the Annual Cake Sale and Coffee Morning on St. Patrick’s Day. We would also like to thank The Cope, Supervalu and McDevitt’s Garage for their sponsorship of the raffle prizes. A total of €1,047 was raised towards the school funds. Thank you.

Maghery fun club would like to thank everyone who donated monies during their recent bag pack at the cope Main St. Dungloe a total sum of €465 was raised. We are very thankful. The club will close on March 30th and will re-open in Sept.
Annual indoor and outdoor car boot sale: Good Friday 6th of April in Maghery Community Centre. Turn your trash into cash! 10am until 2pm booking required. Fee €5 per boot.
Spring clean-up: it’s that time of year again when we would ask everyone to take part in the community clean-up. Assembling at Ionad an Mhachaire on Thurs. 5th of April at 6:00pm. Gloves, bags and pickers will be provided. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The community will be entering into the Tidy town competition this year again and lets improve in the comments and points obtained in last year’s competition.

Easter egg hunt: planned for the Old Railway Walk, in Burtonport Easter weekend. Those wishing to take part in the hunt can pick up an entry form and instructions from The Checkout (formally known as Spar) at Burtonport crossroads over the Easter weekend. There’s no set time planned for the walk, families can do it any time over the weekend at their leisure- from Easter Saturday right through to Easter Monday. All completed forms must be submitted by 5pm on Bank holiday Monday to the collection point at The Checkout and one lucky winner will win a beautiful Easter hamper. Entry forms are €2 each and all funds raised will go towards the upkeep of the Old Railway walk. This will be a great way to get the kids out for a walk over the weekend without the moaning so it’s a win-win situation all round. Enjoy.
