Then there will be Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in the centre of the Diamond before returning to the Chapel for the concluding ceremony. People are encouraged to put out little covered tables along the way suitably prepared in honour of the Blessed Sacrament. Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend, as this marks the beginning of the Eucharistic Congress in Dublin. During the week there will be adoration of the most Blessed Sacrament each day in the Church for set times. On Friday 15th June Holy Mass will be celebrated at 7.30pm with the anointing of the sick. May this bring many blessings to our Parish.
Congratulations to Sergeant Brian Gallagher Tullyvinney Raphoe on your recent retirement from the 28th Infantry battalion of the Irish Army. During his long term of over 40 years service in the Army Brian received the good conduct medal a very honourable military award and a reflection of Brian’s dedication loyalty and integrity as a serving member of our defence forces. Brian’s family and everyone in attendance at the function were so proud of this Raphoe man who spoke so well of his service over the years with the Army which was very moving and a real testimony of a man who loved his job; loved his family and loved his country very much.
