Mr Maguire, who was 24, died in a traffic accident 200kms from Perth, Western Australia, two weeks ago.
Today his remains were removed from the family home in Ardara to the Church of the Holy Family for Requiem Mass this afternoon, the cortege passing the town’s GAA club where he had played.
Hundreds of people were able to watch the Mass live on the internet around the globe.
Tomás has friends in both the United States and in Australia where he had moved in February.
The internet connection allowed them to follow the Requiem Mass online.
Heartfelt tributes were paid to Tomás as his life was remembered by family and friends.
