RAFT RACE & SKIFF REGATTA
The RNLI in conjunction with the Donegal Bay Rowing Club will hold a Raft Race, Blessing of Boats and Skiff Regatta at Mountcharles Pier on Sunday 1st July. Registration of Skiffs will take place at 1.30pm followed by racing. The Blessing of Boats will take place at 4.00pm followed by the Raft Race and an Exhibition Skiff Race. A contribution of €10.00 to the Lifeboats is respectfully requested from each Raft Race crew member for the Lifeboats which saved 84 people around the Irish coast in 2011. For road safety, access to the event is from the Donegal Town side of the Pier and leaving via the opposite (Salthill) direction.
