DONEGAL Senior Football manager Jim McGuinness has tonight won a deferral in the playing of senior club games until after the Ulster final clash with Down.
Senior club and intermediate games are being deferred until August 12.
Junior A and B championship matches will however go ahead this weekend.
The decision will once again open up the club v county debate with grassroots GAA members divided over the benefits of deferring games.
Several club members contacted donegaldaily.com to complain.
County supporters however will welcome the decision which will allow the panel of players to concentrate on getting ready for the Down clash at Clones on July 22.
McGuinness made his plea before the county board meeting earlier this evening.
