Best of luck to the Steakhouse in their initive thats whats needed in these recessionary times.I was in a hotel/lounge in the Rosses lately and had fish mash and a veg and was charged 18.99 and my husband had a steak/chips and a sauce and it was 25.95.I feel the hotels and restaurants are far too expensive.I know it’s the tourist season but sure theres not many of them around and it’s the locals they are really depending on.Come on hotels and bar food lounges and take your prices down and you’d have more people dining out.
In Australia Tuesdays are known as “Cheap Ass Tuesdays” where meals and a lot of amenities/Cinema tickets are cheaper, where the average Joe who doesn’t normally eat out… Eats out. Buy one Meal get 2nd Free etc.. But a lot of places are doing the Steak with chips and salad for $10- or $11:50 and boy are the pubs and clubs busy!! Maybe in times of Recession Ireland should adopt the “Cheap Ass Tuesday” routine, where the recession hit Paddy can affordably Eat Out. Who Knows it could inject much needed money where its needed !?!?
