Good on the McGettigan brothers and their father Michael. There’s a lot of talk about Kinsale being the gourmet capital of Ireland. Well not any more, because Donegal Town is officially the home of the the best sausages in Europe, ex President Mary McAleese always stopped at the Aroma Coffee Shop for her brown bread and we’ve one of the best Food Festivals in the country starting end of Aug. Not to mention a myriad of top quality, reasonably priced restaurants.
That’s fantastic! last week we had the good news story about the Cheese and now this. As the saying goes ‘if you’re not in you can’t win’ and there’s no doubt the opportunities are there to be exploited and well done to those in Donegal who do it and by all accounts do it brilliantly. Best bangers and cheese, from our own Donegal and wasn’t the brown bread from Ardara on sale in Harrods too… is feidir linn.. gan doubt

Sorry I missed the show last night. Con gratulations to McGettigan Bros. Looking forward to the Food Fair in Donegal Town at the end of August. Got your poster to Dunfanaghy last week, should be lots of people at the show.
