The owner of the Donegal bus company at the centre of the row over rtansporting cancer patinets to Dublin has held a special meeting with a top HSE executive.
Francis Marley, of Marley’s Buses form Cloghan, had the meeting this morning two weeks after the HSE dropped his service.
He presented a set of figures to show his company could still operate if the HSE €100,000 subsidy was halved to around €50,000 and the shortfall made up by doubling passengers’ return fares to €25.
HSE West Community Services Manager Kieran Doherty promised examine the figures and would report back before September.
