It may have been the wettest and dullest summer for more than 20 years across Ireland according to Met Eireann.
But Donegal can still claim the best of a miserable June, July and August.
The bad news if you live near Malin Head is that you hold a very unenviable record.
The weather station there measured the wettest day of the summer on June 22nd when a sopping 50.9 mms fell in a 24 hour period.
But overall Donegal can claim one of the driest summers compared to the rest of the country.
The stats are contained a report issued by Met Eireann for the months of June, July and August.
