Anyone who has used the services of prostitutes in Co Donegal has been urged to seek medical attention after it emerged that a prostitute who had been operating in Letterkenny is HIV positive.
A male prostitute, Jose Filho, was released on a bond to keep the peace at Glenties Court yesterday.
Today Supt Vincent O’Brien issued the advice following the disclosure in court.
Solicitor Patsy Gallagher said that his two clients were victims who had arrived in Ireland just four weeks ago and had been trafficked into prostitution.
However it has since emerged that both prostitutes had return tickets to their home countries in Spain and Brazil.
