One of Donegal’s best-known sportstars has been rewarded for his contribution to football with a unique testimonial game.

Kevin McHugh has played more than 330 games for Finn Harps in an amazing career.

The Killea man will now be rewarded with a unique soccer/GAA testimonial game.

The game will feature a Donegal GAA select against a Finn Harps select at Finn Park on Fri, November 23rd.

And in the spirit of both codes, one half will be gaelic football and the other half soccer.

Half of the money raised will go towards the Donegal GAA team training fund and the rest to McHugh.

A large crowd is expected for the game to honour a genuine servant of Donegal sport.

“I am delighted and it’s an idea I have had for a while now. It’s going to be a great night and I’m really grateful that both the Donegal GAA team and Finn Harps have got behind the idea,” said the 32 year old.

The following night, McHugh will be the guest of honour at his testimonial dinner dance at the Radisson Hotel in Letterkenny.
