GLENFIN Senior Ladies are the 2016 Gaeltacht Donegal champions after a good win over Termon today.
The staging of the fixture in Glenties had been surrounded in controversy, with so many players from both teams due to play for Donegal in an All-Ireland final this Saturday.
Unfortunately key Termon players Nicole McLaughlin and her sister Geraldine were both removed from the pitch after being injured during the game.
The duo are part of the panel for Donegal’s Lidl Division 2 final against Westmeath at Parnell Park in Dublin.
Both clubs have wished them speedy recoveries.
Glenfin led at the break 3-07 to 3-00, finally winning on a scoreline of 4-09 to 3-06, and they will now represent Donegal in the national gaeltacht finals.
Over the weekend Fanad Gaels beat N Muire 4-08 to 2-08 to land the Junior title.
St Naul’s won the Intermediate crown after an incredible 4-08 to 4-06 win over Ardara.
