Controversial pundit Joe Brolly has jokingly labelled Naomh Muire GAA club players as a ‘bunch of eejits’ after pictures emerged of their senior players peculiar recovery methods.
A picture surfaced on Twitter earlier this morning, which showed Naomh Muire players in ice baths following a tough training session.
However, the ice baths were actually paddling pools, and the paddling pools were located outside, and it was raining!
With Leicester City incredible winning the Premiership, attention has been drawn to both their training schedule and recovery methods.
Beetroot shots, and stints in cyrotherapy chambers have the sporting world fixated and intrigued.
However, the methods of Naomh Muire GAA club was exposed by Irish Daily Star sports correspondent Kieran Cunningham.
He posted the picture shown above and tweeted, “Listen, Leicester City, this is the Donegal club championship version of cyrotherapy chambers.
It wasn’t long before Joe Brolly got in on the act and enquired, “@KCsixtyseven what team of eejits is that?
Adam Speer, strength and conditioning coach with Donegal when they won the All-Ireland in 2012 responded by tweeting, “@JoeBrolly1993 @KCsixtyseven a team doing their best to recovery and prepare for next match. Good enough for all ireland champions #2012
