The folks over at the Donegal County Council web mapping portal are certainly feeling the Christmas spirit as they’ve made a handy festive map for everyone in the county.

The mappers have been working away like busy elves to cover many Christmas events around Donegal, as well as pinpointing all the recycling centres and bottle banks.

There’s a Santa hat on the map to show a variety of culture events, from winter wonderlands to music, arts and crafts.

Once all the festivities are over, you can bring along your real Christmas trees to the 16 drop-off points which will be dotted around the county in the New Year.

There’s also a guide to the bring banks for glass, cans and textiles. Christmas is a season of excess, so this is a great way to cut down on waste. Opening times are provided on the interactive map.
