Man who kicked patrol car and abused Gardai is fined €200

A man who blocked a Garda patrol car, abused Gardai and then kicked the Garda car has been fined €200.

Conor John Mulholland was asked to leave the scene when Gardai arrested another man during a public order incident at Gortlee, Letterkenny on March 27th, 2016.

Garda Marcus O’Dowd told Letterkenny District Court that the incident happened just before 4am on the date in question.

Garda O’Dowd told the court that Mulholland jumped in front of the Garda car, shouted abuse at Gardai and then kicked the patrol car.

He was later followed and arrested at Station Roundabout and was co-operative with Gardai.

Judge Paul Kelly fined Mulholland of Omagh a total of €200 under the Public Order Act.
