Illies Golden Gloves’ Darryl Moran has been forced to withdraw from the European Under-22 Championships.

A hand injury prevents Moran from taking part and the light-flyweight has not made the trip to Romania for this week’s Championships.

Moran lost out to Derry’s Blaine Dobbins in last month’s Elite final in Dublin.

Moran won his ninth Irish title in January when he defeated Jordan Leahy to claim the Irish Under-22 title.

However, the Buncrana man has had to pull out from the Europeans due to his injury.
