April 16, 2017

Police investigating the mystery death of a young Co Donegal man in Manchester have charged two men with theft and fraud.

Dylan Crawford, 20, from Killygordon, died after he was found collapsed in the early hours of Wednesday.

Now two men have appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court in connection with the death.

Ibrahim Amin, 38, has been charged with theft and Abdi Hassan, 32, has been charged with handling a stolen card and fraud.

The men, both of no fixed abode, appeared in court on Saturday morning.

Shortly before 1.40am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, staff at Manchester Royal Infirmary informed Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Mr Crawford had been found unconscious on Spear Street that morning and had later died at the hospital.

A spokeswoman for GMP said: “An investigation was launched and enquiries are ongoing.“

Now GMP are still trying to identify a third person in connection with an investigation into Mr Crawford’s death.

They have released images of a man they are seeking.

A Home Office post mortem examination failed to establish a cause of death for Dylan and detectives are awaiting the results of toxicology tests.
