Met Eireann is celebrating the summer with a cheeky tweet showing off Mayo’s heat, but Donegal’s current heat conditions are rising higher.

The northwest is today set to experience top temperatures of 25 degrees and fresh breezes. Embrace the sunshine while it lasts, as there is a risk of thundery showers tonight.
Cloud will gradually increase this afternoon as it becomes humid and warm. We are in for a warm night with minimum temperatures of 16-17 degrees.
The rain returns from tomorrow (Wednesday), with some heavy and possibly thundery showers. It will remain warm with highs of 18-20 degrees in the morning, although it will become cooler and drier in the day.
