A not-to-be-missed, outdoor summer theatre event takes place in Oakfield Park next week, when Chapterhouse Theatre performs Robin Hood and his Merry Men.
The open-air event takes place in the gardens of Oakfield Park on Thursday, 26th July at 7pm and promises to be a great evening’s entertainment for all the family.
Adapted by award winning writer Laura Turner, this brand-new version of Robin’s notorious story is brought to life with traditional sword play, song, music, dance and stunning medieval costumes.
Looking forward to the open-air summer event in Oakfield Park, David Fisher, Estate Manager, said: “While we’ve hosted various events in the park over the years, this is the first time we’ve had an open-air theatre production and we’re really looking forward to welcoming Chapterhouse Theatre to Oakfield Park next week.
“Our parklands and gardens provide the perfect backdrop for the story of Robin Hood and his Merry Men to unfold and it promises to be great evening for young and old.”
Robin Hood and his Merry Men starts at 7pm with doors open from 6pm. Early arrival is advised, and visitors are asked to bring their own rugs or low-backed seating.

There will also be light refreshments (tea / coffee) available to purchase beside the performance area and Oakfield Park trains will be running free of charge from 6pm to take visitors to and from the open-air event.
