A man has been arrested this morning after crashing a car into the London Houses of Parliament and injuring several pedestrians.
Areas of London have been cordoned off and Westminster Tube station is closed as Police investigate the incident.
Scotland Yard has confirmed that a number of pedestrians were injured when the car was rammed at high speed into the security barriers at the parliament buildings. The incident occurred at 7.37am, before ambulances, armed police, and firefighters rushed to scene.
It has not been confirmed yet if the incident is terror related.
A statement from Scotland Yard said: “A number of pedestrians have been injured. We await an update on their condition, however officers do not believe that anyone is in a life-threatening condition.
“Officers remain at the scene and cordons are in place to assist the investigation.”
