Heavy rainfall has been causing issues for motorists in areas of Donegal this Thursday morning.
Met Eireann have warned of a risk of hail and thunder in the north west today, while torrential showers are flooding sections of roads and car parks in areas including Letterkenny.
The rain is expected to clear by the evening, leading to a dry early night with cloudy and misty weather bringing rain later on.
Friday will have outbreaks of heavy rain in the morning and early afternoon. Drier weather is forecast for the evening with brighter spells locally.
Road users are reminded that it takes longer to stop a vehicle on wet roads, so slow down and allow extra distance between you and the vehicle in front.
