More than 2,200 young students across Donegal have received their Junior Cert results today after a long summer of anticipation.
For many teens, the results day is a cause for celebration and a night out with friends.
As discos across Donegal get set to open their doors for underage parties, parents are being urged to have conversations with their teens about underage drinking.
Donegal Gardaí have congratulated all local students on their results today and shared advice for everyone to have a safe night out.
The message to students was: “If you are planning a night out to celebrate please keep in mind the advice given to you by your parents and teachers in relation to underage drinking.
“Parents will find some great advice and tips from the HSE on askaboutalcohol.ie in the link below – worth discussing with your children.
“We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable night.”
