Met Eireann has extended the Status Yellow Rainfall warning to include Donegal as Storm Helene makes landfall.
The ex-hurricane is forecast to bring heavy rain this afternoon and tonight. There is a risk of local flooding with rainfall of 25 to 40 mm expected.
The warning is in place from 1pm Monday to 5am on Tuesday morning.

A stormy night is in store for the north west as the Atlantic weather system passes over Ireland. Downpours and strong winds are expected throughout the night.
AA Roadwatch have warned motorists to take extra care on the roads due to the possibility of flooding.
