CROSSMAGLEN’S experience proved too much for Naomh Conaill in the Ulster Senior Football final in Cavan today.
The brave Glenties side did lead at half time, but when Cross were reduced to 14 men it was the Armagh side who seemed to have the extra advantage – Oisin McConville scoring a goal for Rangers within seconds of the sending off.
The Donegal champions had dominated the first half, but the wiser heads of the Armagh side slowly edged into the lead before shutting up shop and holding out for a deserved win – although they were flattered that the margin was five points.
