EXCLUSIVE: A LARGE DELEGATION from Ballyshannon will travel to Dublin next month to attend a gala dinner after the local town council was nominated for a ‘Council of the Year’ Award.
Town Clerk Mary Daly submitted the council into the competition earlier this year.
It is run by LAMA – the Local Authority Members Association.
However there is set to be some stiff local competition – for the town council will be taking on Donegal County Council in the final!
It has also been nominated for its brilliant Water Conservaton scheme.
