A NUMBER OF church services are being cancelled and clergy are today also warning people not to take any risks.

Saturday night Masses across the county were sparsley attended, especially in rural areas.

Congregations in Letterkenny spent yesterday clearing footpaths in and around town centre churches.

St Eunan’s Cathedral was also cleared of ice and snow in and around the area – but approach roads are still extremely slippy.

Gardai are urging extreme caution, especially in church car parks where snow and ice hasn’t been cleared.
