SNOW has started to fall across various parts of Donegal again this morning.
Some parts of the county including Fanad and Trentagh got a slight dusting of the white stuff and a flurry in Ballyare soon disappeared.
And the bad news is that we could be set for the Big Chill – Part 3 in the coming hours and days.
Forecasters are predicting cold nights throughout the week with temperatures set to drop to -5C at times.
Early fog will lift in places later today, but temperatures won’t get above 3C as arctic air drifts over the North West.
One thing is certain – we won’t be seeing the snow and ice of a fortnight ago….for now at least.
Although Donegal’s most famous amateur weatherman Michael Gallagher says we’re set for another freezing spell shortly.
“It’s certainly not the end of it. People have to remember that traditional January and also February are usually the coldest months.
“All the signs are that the cold snap is far from over and I think we’re going to have plenty of more snow before we put this winter behind us,” he said.
