IS SIR GERRY SET TO TURN DONEGAL NORTH EAST ELECTION RACE ON ITS HEAD?

HE HAS FIXED quite a few businesses in his time. He has even tried to fix Britain’s NHS.

But the big question being posed now is this: “Can Sir Gerry Robinson fix Dail Eireann?”

Well-known Donegal entertainer and businessman Billy Patterson certainly hopes so – and thinks Donegal North East could do with Mr Robinson TD!

“We need people like Gerry Robinson and his ilk running the ship,” Mr Patterson tells this week’s Tirconaill Tribune.

The entertainer claimed most people are ‘fed up’ with traditional politics and the traditional parties and said it was time for a radical change.

“There is no confidence from us, the people, in whatever crowd gets in,” he added.

If Raphoe-based Sir Gerry took up the challenge, he’d be a favourite to land a seat in Donegal North East.

And if he did, he’d make history as the first British Knight to sit in Dail Eireann.
