SINN FEIN COULD TAKE TWO DONEGAL SEATS, SAYS REPORT

SINN FEIN could take a seat in both Donegal constituencies, it is being claimed today.

However the Irish Independent says it is still possible for Fianna Fail to hold on to two seats in Donegal North East.

Respected political writer Fionnan Sheahan writes today that Gerry Adams “inadequate grasp of economics in the last campaign put paid to any prospect of a Sinn Fein swing electing Mr Doherty and Padraig MacLochlainn in Donegal North-East, but a seat at both ends of the county looks to be an attainable target this time.”

He also says Fianna Fail will not re-take a seat it lost to Pearse Doherty in Donegal South East.
