WINE BUFF CONTINUES FOODIE NIGHTS

One of the biggest success stories from the The Wine Buff shop in Letterkenny over the last 15 months has been the food and wine nights held in restaurants across the county.

Over this period Richard (proprietor) has booked out restaurants and invited his customers along to sample a five to eight course meal accompanied by wines matched to each course.

He said today: “Each of the seven nights held over this period have been a complete sell-out and for some venues (including Rathmullan House and La Fantasia Italian restaurant ) a second night was put on to cope with the demand.

“Each night is incredibly competitively priced (nights have ranged between €50 and €55 a head and include at least 5 courses and a glass of wine to match each course) and the emphasis is on experiencing phenomenal food, trying new wines and most importantly, having a bit of craic.”

Richard even puts on a return bus service from the shop to the venue for out of town destinations for a mere €10 a head.

The next night will be held in Harry’s Bar and Restaurant in Bridgend on the 28th January 2011. This night is sure to be a sell out night, with a cost of just €50 a head in a restaurant that has just been awarded the “Best Restaurant in Ireland” title by The Bridgestone Guide. They will also be putting on the obligatory bus service.

To book, drop Richard a line on 074 9120075 or for more information drop him a line at letterkenny@thewinebuff.com.
