Tragic Mickey Harte is expected to attend Tyrone’s Dr McKenna Cup tie against Donegal in Omagh on Sunday.
It is not known what role the Red Hand manager will play at Healy Park only six days after he buried his only daughter Michaela McAreavey following her murder in Mauritius.
It is believed the game will be marked by some form of tribute to the late daughter of the Tyrone manager.
A source close to the Donegal camp said the occasion will undoubtedly be shrouded in sadness.
“Mickey and his family and all the Tyrone lads have been through a lot lately. Michaela was very much part of their set-up.
“Mickey is a very good friend of the GAA in Donegal and out thoughts and prayers will be with him on the evening,” he said.
The clash against Jim McGuinness’ side will be the first competitive game of the season for the reigning Ulster champions two weeks out from their Allianz League campaign in which they will play in Division 2.
