CONGRATULATIONS to the evergreen Pauric McKinney who finished second in the National Masters Cross Country Championships at ASLAA in Dublin on Sunday. Pauric, finished behind Pauric Matthews over the gruelling course which was very heavy underfoot after previous races.

“I’m thrilled to be up there again after the Northern Ireland Masters,” a delighted Pauric said.

Pauric, the Donegal king of Cross Country for as long as one can remember, showed his class once again and done himself and the club proud.
He was joined in the team by our own Ciaran O’Donnell and Richard Raymond.

“It was tough out there. The course was flat but really heavy-energy sapping underfoot,” Richie said afterwards.

In the Intermediate event the club was well represented by Kevin Ferry, Paul McGlinchey, Barry Meehan and Aidan McKenna. They battled away over the 7k race and done well.

In the Masters Ladies, Pat McKenna was flying the club colours and once again showed fine improving form.

Letterkenny AC continues its success with Brendan Boyce race walker based at Leeds University had a nice start to season, 10k PB 41:49 in gusty condition and smashed course record by 38 sec’s. The club wish him well as he prepares to compete in the Odyssey alongside the other Letterkenny ac athletes.

Four people matched two numbers in the club lotto in The Glencar Inn on Saturday night and won 20 euro each. They were: Jordan Rodgers, Ann Catterson, Martin Houston and Teresa Orr.
