DUNPHY SAYS HE’D VOTE FOR DOHERTY IF HE HAD A CHANCE

MOTORMOUTH television pundit Eamon Dunphy knows who he would like to vote for – Pearse Doherty.

Unfortunately Dunphy lives 150 miles away from Donegal South West in leafy Ranelagh but that hasn’t stopped him singing the Sinn Fein man’s praises.

“Pearse Doherty has only been a TD for a matter of weeks – but he’s the one finance spokesperson who is telling the truth,” gushed Dunphy.

The former Millwall star even attacked RTE’s Frontline host Pat Kenny for cutting Doherty off during a recent television debate.

“Doherty was trying to explain complex issues – and you can’t do that in snappy soundbites,” fumed Dunphy.

He added that the Gaoth Dobhair man was composed and well-mannered and compared him to the likes of veteran public representative Shane Ross.

And he added “It’s time Official Ireland started taking Doherty and Sinn Fein seriously.”
