Tickets for the re-scheduled John Kennedy Testimonial Match between Finn Harps and Glasgow Celtic will be available to the Public from today, Monday February 14th.

The much anticipated match, which was postponed last November due to adverse weather conditions, will now take place on Sunday 6th March with a 2.00pm kick-off.

John Kennedy is delighted the Match will definitely take place in March.  “Naturally everyone was very disappointed when we couldn’t travel in November so it great that both clubs can now focus on making March 6th a memorable occasion.” he said.

The Celts are currently riding high in the SPL thanks in no small part to the prolific partnership of strikers Gary Hooper and Dubliner Anthony Stokes.

Those attending the big Match in March will also be hoping to see former Derry City stars Paddy McCourt and Niall McGinn in action.

Finn Harps Chairman Joey Leary says it is an honour for both Finn Harps and Donegal to be chosen as the venue for the Testimonial Game and associated Events.

“It’s a great boost for both Finn Harps and the local economy to host the Match so I was very grateful to Celtic for working with us to get a suitable date for re-arranged game.  As I said before Celtic have a special resonance with a lot of people in the County so I’m sure John and the rest of the Celtic Squad will get a warm Donegal Welcome,” he said.
