IT’S A FAMILY DAY AT THE AURA FOR JIMMY HARTE – ALMOST!

HE may be surrounded by dozens of his family at today’s election count at Letterkenny’s Aura Centre but Jimmy Harte can’t depend on them for a vote!

The Labour man, who has been living in Letterkenny for more than 25 years, is originally from Raphoe.

But with Raphoe now being in the South West constituency his family cannot vote number one Harte any more.

Jimmy admits that all votes including his father Paddy and mum Rosaleen not to mention his sisters and brothers could have certainly helped him out.

“What can you do. I think I could have depended on them for a number one,” he laughed.

And he added “It’s just the way it goes. I really can’t say anything about my family because they have been terrific for me over the past couple of months.

“I couldn’t have run such a good campaign without them and I am hoping I can return their trust and hard work by getting elected for them and the people of Letterkenny and Donegal North East,” he said.
