PORTSALON GOLF CLUB NOTES

Mulroy Links

Despite the cold conditions which prevailed on Saturday last there was a large turnout

at Portsalon Golf course for the Mulroy Links competition. The results were as follows;

in the gross section the winner was Dara Mc Menamin (5) Letterkenny 36 points, 2nd

John Shields (3) Portsalon 34 points, 3rd Stephen Connolly (4) Portsalon 33 points, 4th

Barry Mc Gettigan (2) Elm Park 33 points 5th Connor Connolly (4) 32 points. In the nett

section John Logue (12) Portsalon was the winner with 39 points from John Birney (22)

Portsalon with 39 points, 3rd Chuck Mc Taggart (12 )Portsalon 36 points, 4th Pauric Mc

Hugh (7) B/S 36 points, 5th Gerard Mc Gettigan (20)Portsalon 35 points. The next outing

of the Mulroy Links will take place at Rosapenna Golf Club on Saturday 6th March

Results.

The winner of the open staged on Wednesday 23rd February was Frank Mc Carthy (12)

Omagh 36 points, 2nd Bernard Nash (17)Portsalon 34 points, Gross Aidan Mc Gale

Omagh 26 points. The CSS was 34 points non counting. On Sunday the winner of the

members competition was Kieran Mc Fadden (12) 42 points, 2nd Connor Mc Fadden (19)

41 points, Gross John Shields (3) 35 points 3rd Noel Nicholl (14) 35 points. The CSS was

36 points.

Events

On Sunday 6th March there is a members competition. On Wednesday 9th March

there is a gents 18 hole open stableford event. A time sheet is in operation for all

competitions at Portsalon Golf Club, contact 074 91 59459 for your tee time or go online

at portsalongolfclub.com

Mulroy Links

The next outing of the Mulroy Links will take place at Rosapenna Golf Club on Saturday

5th March. All Mulroy Links members please note that the time sheet remains as per the

previous competitions. If you are unable to play please inform the clubhouse either at

Portsalon or Rosapenna Golf Clubs.

300 Members Draw

The winner of the February Portsalon 300 Members draw was €400 Shaun Strain, €300

Illis Diherty. €200 Tony Morrison €100 each to Ricky Boal, Siobhan Logue and Trevor

Hughes. The next draw will take place in March.

Membership

The council wish to remind all members that their fees for the 2011 golfing year are now

due. An early payment would be appreciated.

Winter placing

Members and visitors should note that there is 6 inch placing on all fairways.
