HARVEY’S POINT IS NEW SPONSOR OF BLUESTACK CHALLENGE

FORMER CELTIC great Packie Bonner has launched the 2011 Harvey’s Point Bluestack Challenge.

The ex-Ireland goalkeepr and media pundit was at Harvey’s Point over looking Lough Eske today to give a kick start to the fantastic charity fundraiser.

The Harvey’s Point Bluestack Challenge date has been set for Saturday 18th June 2011.

The Harvey’s Point Bluestack Challenge is a 40KM sponsored hill walk over the Donegal hills.

The Challenge has now been held on five occasions, in 2002, 2003, 2005,2007 and 2009.

The object of the Challenge is to raise much needed funds for People with Special Needs in County Donegal. The 2009 Challenge raised a fantastic €170,000. The total raised by these five events exceeded €770,000.

Information packs will not be available until nearer the launch. There is a mountain of work to be done to mount a successful event of this magnitude. YOU can use your skills to help raise funds for People with Special Needs in County Donegal. The new committee would be pleased to welcome you, and work alongside you, to ensure a successful outcome to this event.

donegaldaily.com will be supporting the Bluestack Foundation throughout the build-up to the event.
