DONEGAL’S new Independent TD Thomas Pringle today entered Dail Eireann for the first time and admitted: “It’s an emotional day.”

He vowed to represent all the people of Donegal South West in the 31st Dail – and work for the national interest inside the new independent technical group with 15 other TDs.

Mr Pringle confirmed the new grouping had nominated three representatives to speak in the Dail. They are Senator Shane Ross, Finian MGrath and Joe Higgins.

“I’m looking forward to representing the people who elected me and all the people of Donegal South West,” said the new TD.

“We are working in the new grouping to get all of our views across and hold the new government to account for everything they do.”
