AN Illies woman will be hoping to land half a million euros on RTE’s Winning Streak tomorrow night – thanks to her mother-in-law!
Mother of two, Angela Devlin was picked for the show after her husband’s mum Annie Devlin bought her the lucky scratchcard at Buncrana SuperValu.
Revealed Angela: “I couldn’t believe it when my sister Sinead rang on Saturday night. I didn’t even know I was in with a chance of being on! I turned over to RTE straight away and saw my name come up at the end of the show. The phone never stopped ringing all night after that,” Angela said.
The Ballymagan housewife says she’d be happy with any sort of win – the show average is €30k – 13-year-old son Kyle enthused: “We’re going for €500,000.”
Mum Angela is keeping her feet on the ground however.
“Annie will have to get a cut. As for the rest I’ll pay off a few bills and do some improvements around the house,” she said.
The show is on Saturday night on RTE1 at 8.15pm.
